By Far the worst book I have ever read was Surviving Antarctica Reality T.V. 2083. With the books very strange and overly long title you think I would have stayed away from it but sadly I did not.
An interesting thing about this book is that it starts out fairly good. The story begins with a group of kids who get invited to survive in Antarctica in a survival expedition. I even started to enjoy the book when I read about them traveling to Antarctica to try to survive the harsh and unforgiving weather. Once the kids arrived in Antarctica all of the sudden Ka- Boom, boring. While reading the book I gasped with excitement as the children walked through miles and miles of ice, and snow, and more ice, and more snow, and a little more ice. I say this statement as a fact and not a exaggeration, this book had 50 pages worth of trekking through ice and snow. After being bored out of my skull I had realized that it must have been very cold there but I had had enough. I never did finish the book, I simply couldn't stand anymore.
Looking back at it I probably got duped in the whole don't judge a book by it's cover deal because it had a very nice cover. Although the book was a disaster there were two things I learned from this book. Number one never judge a book by its cover and number two is that I am pretty sure Antarctica has a lot of snow.
