Since I was a child one thing that I have always loved to watch are Nascar races. When I was young I would bring a blue sleeping bag cushion kind of thing we properly called the blue thing down the stairs and pretend that it was my racecar. I would then get 4 soccer balls and pretend they were my tires and lastly get my toy stuffed polar bear and use it as my steering wheel and I would sit there and watch not sum but all 250 plus laps of the race pretending I was one of the drivers. A lot of things have changed since then but one thing that hasn't changed is my love for Nascar. I have since graduated to Nascar Xbox games since the days of the blue thing but I still watch as many races as I can. Not only are the races entertaining but I love the southern accents that the announcers have. As if seeing 20 cars crash at the same time isn't entertaining enough I get even more of a thrill hearing ''Woe Daddy, big wreck in the secnd turrn, carrs flyn everwher''. Try to put that into spell check. Yesterday was the Daytona 500, the biggest race in Nascar and I enjoyed every minute. Most people say that Nascar is too boring of a sport but I think that you shouldn't nod it until you try it.

To Build A Fire Essay
In general when reading a story the main plotline is the part of the story that the people pay attention to but with the story ''To Build a Fire'' Jack London makes the story the most interesting not by his tragic plotline but by his greatly descriptive symbolism.

In the story To ''Build a Fire'' there is a man that proceeds to travel across the frozen Yukon for multiple hours on end without hardly realizing the frigid 75 degrees below zero temperature that is slowly freezing him and everything around him. Although the man slowly begins to freeze through his long journey he remains calm and ignores the great coldness that Jack London continues to describe as dangerous and deadly. In the end of the story, although the man refuses to realize the danger, the snow finally catches up to him and freezes the man to death.

In my opinion Jack London continues to describe the cold so vividly because he himself wants the man to realize the danger that the coldness has. I believe that Jack in a way gets angry at his own main character in a fact that he can't even realize that the man can be so strange. ''To Build a Fire'' is a perfect example that the plotline is not always the signature thing in a story. As I read more and more books I realize more and more that even though a story may be entertaining in itself, the blackness of a tragedy or the hot summer air in a comedy really can make a story.

Being I can not read minds I will never know what you will think about when you read this essay. To be honest I would predict that you would probably disagree with me about how important symbolism is but the next time you read a story think of it without the symbolism and see what your opinion is because even though the symbolism is not the plotline, in many situations you will find that the symbolism in itself can sometimes tell the story.

What to write

Alright now I know everyone at some point has written an essay on how they can't think of what to write but I am the exact opposite. I have so many ideas that I will never be able to find which one I should write about by my conference date so I was hopping that you could help me out.

Alrighty then let's get started. There are 3 main ideas that I have. One idea would be to write about my crazy neighbors that have kids that proceed to fight each other every single day at the bus stop .The title of this story would of course be called ''Lets Get Ready To Rumble''. The thing I enjoy about this option would be that I also have a video tape of one bus stop that the neighbors had one day that indeed did not disappoint which I could bring in. The second option would be a story called ''Things I Would do for a Klondike Bar'' which would explain itself. This would be even more comical being I dislike Klondike bars yet there are still multiple things I would do for one. Stop looking at that sentence thinking what? Option 3 would be a refined and established documentary on the fine human being that is my crazy uncle Dave. There are indeed some very interesting things about Dave. Weather he is yelling at you to get him some food or doing his I'm a nutcase laugh he would defiantly benefit from a documentary.

That pretty much sums it up and I appreciate that you are helping me out by picking the right choice. Please comment below and which ever story gets the most votes will be written for the world to see. Thank you and look back to my blog to see the updates.

The Tragedy That Almost Was

When thinking of what I was going to write about for my personal narrative this morning I decided that instead of talking about an event that improved my life I would rather talk about something that I did that helped the life of someone else. This story is a story that still sometimes gets me shaken as to what would have happened had I not acted fast enough but on the other hand when I think of what may have gone wrong I always just reassure my self that it all turned out ok.

The story takes place on a nice Summer day in my back yard. I look out the window and see that my neighbors are having a family party. I make a small walk over to their house to check out what is going on. When I get there I see that my neighbors grandchild who is cutter every time I see him is just beginning to walk and is running all over the place. I talk to the neighbors and they tell me all of his stories about his very first steps. As I go back into my yard I see my Dad with the Frisbee and he says ''you wanna play some catch'' Being it was such a nice day and I had nothing else to do I started to play catch. After a while my Dad decides to throw one over my head to see if I can catch it. Not looking where I was going I ran full speed ahead at the Frisbee. As I briefly look down I notice that the neighbors baby is slowly walking towards me. I being 12 years old and him having taken his first steps just weeks ago I had to think fast. Just as I am about to ram into him I stop dead in my tracks about as fast as I ever have before. I myself fell over and got a few scares but as I looked back I saw that the baby was alright.

Every once and a while I think about that day. I wonder what the baby has done since then and I wonder what awful things could have happened had I not stopped on a dime as good as the road runner from the road runner commercials. The important thing is to not think about what could have happened but that as I said before to just tell myself that everything was alright and when I see the child running through my neighbors yard every once and a while I can again assure myself that no harm has been done and everything is going to be ok.

Harrison Bergeron

In our society people judge each other every day as to how rich people are, how successful people are , or whatever it may be. Most people in their opinion believe that the judging should be stopped as do I, yet some country leaders take a different kind of approach than most in order to make us all equal.

Countries all over the world have had times that in which they may have been or even still are communist countries. In the story ''Harrison Bergeron'' the main character, George is in a country that believes that everyone should have the same intelligence, athletic ability and so on. In order to keep the country that way, the government forces its citizens to wear things they call handicaps. Some handicaps that the people have to wear include things like wearing weights on peoples backs if they are fast or devices that set off ringing sounds through an ear piece of people with a high intelligence in order to disallow them to think.

In the real world of today there are no countries that have come up with such a cruel idea to make their country more equal yet in some countries there are dictators that will do anything to have their country in the state that they want it to be in. Myself being an American citizen I do not ever have to worry about if my country will ever become a communist country and having the right to think that is just one of the many reasons why I am thankful to be an American. Every day millions of people wake up in the morning wondering what their government might do to change their country. They know that even though they may dislike the governments decisions they know that they do not have any right to stop their powerful leaders and everyday I think of how lucky I am to not be in their position.

All Americans have possitive and negative opinions about the United States. Whether you are democratic or Republican I hope that after reading this essay you will think to yourself every time you may not agree with a bill that is passed to not be discouraged but to think about how much worse your country could be. If the people of the United States would stop discussing the negatives of the American government and begin to think of the positives, we as a country will not be so focused about what we have done wrong and we will be allowed to again reminisce about the things we have done to make America great and be able to think of even more ways to make it greater.
